Asst. Prof. Dr. med. Serafeim Tsitsilonis is a specialist in foot and ankle surgery at the highly specialized center for orthopedic pathologies, Sporthopaedicum Berlin. Following many years as Executive Senior Consultant and Head of the Foot and Ankle Surgery Section at the Center for Musculoskeletal Surgery at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, he joined the sporthopaedicum team in early 2023. Asst. Prof. Dr. Tsitsilonis is specialized in complex pathologies and injuries of the entire foot and ankle and offers the full spectrum of surgical treatments. His particular focus is on the management of hindfoot disorders, correction of complex foot deformities, and minimally invasive treatment of sports injuries and cartilage lesions. Key areas of expertise include total ankle replacement as well as joint-preserving corrective osteotomies of the distal lower leg and hindfoot.
