‘Velanidi’ in Peleta, South Kynouria, aspires to be a creative haven for children’s books and those who cherish stories, imagine new worlds, and love words, pictures, and papers. Our goal is to create a space dedicated to the children’s book community. Writers, illustrators, translators, publishers, librarians, and researchers are welcomed at Peleta for both short and long stays. Here, they can explore the place and its people, draw inspiration from the local knowledge and the natural beauty of Parnon, and actively participate in the study, documentation, and restoration of the preindustrial winery that is being transformed into a studio for any sort of creative research practices.
